Family Behavioral Health is hosting a Beer Tasting Fundraiser at the Greater Good Brewing Co. in Worcester, MA. $40.00 per ticket includes:

• 2 FULL POURS of beer 

• Live music 

• Appetizers 

• Raffle baskets

• Cornhole 

• Giant Jenga Board Games
   

GOAL:

Family Behavioral Health seeks to raise funds to help members served within our organization alleviate the costs associated with accessing the community.

 

Family Behavioral Health provides home base applied behavior analytic services to individuals on the Autism spectrum. Part of that service includes learning new skills and generalizing those skills in the community. Community participation helps to broaden the horizons of the persons served and to build contacts and supports outside of one’s family and immediate contacts.

 

Research shows that having a network of social connections and activities helps increase quality of life significantly for persons with Developmental Disabilities like Autism. Autism has invaded all socioeconomic classes equally, but the costs associated with raising a child with disabilities remains high.

 

The costs of day to day life puts some families at a disadvantage to afford their children the opportunity to participate in extra community activities.

 

We believe that the benefit of participation far outweighs the cost of the activity and it is our goal to raise funds to help alleviate some of the costs, and open access to participate in those activities for all persons served at Family Behavioral Health.

Policies for Fundraising:

When holding a fundraiser, a portion of the proceeds will help to cover the costs of events for the organization. Any excess proceeds will be used to help alleviate the costs, and open access to participate in those activities for all persons served at Family Behavioral Health.
